ADDISON HARD DRIVE DESTRUCTION
Chicago Shredder can help with all of your Hard Drive Disposal needs. Crushing is the lowest cost non-recoverable ONSITE service. We also have up to date wiping software if you need a basic E-waste pick up. However, in many cases hard drives coming out of outdated equipment cannot be reformatted for reuse and are dismantled for precious metals.
ONSITE vs OFFSITE
We offer both onsite and offsite services. Some customers require onsite services due to regulations, others don’t mind the lower cost of offsite destruction.
Our crushing service is a lower cost alternative to Degaussing and Shredding. This is a unique service that breaks through the hard drive which renders it useless. Once a drive is crushed (also known as punched) it must be dismantled and sent to a refinery for precious metal recovery. This is a our most popular service for hard drive destruction!
